The first week in Bournemouth is already over and I can’t believe it. Time went by so fast. I had really great fun in this first week. I already wrote a blog post about the first day in Bournemouth and one about the first day at Beet.
On Tuesday we went to Bournemouth square with the bus because we finally figured out which one, we have to take to get to the right place. At Bournemouth square are a lot of shops like Primark and H&M. We did some shopping in those stores but that’s already it for the third day.
On Wednesday after school we went to the beach for the first time. The beach was absolutely amazing, and we met some other students of BEET. In the evening we went to a party with two other girls from BEET. The party was from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm and it was for under 18s. I reckon it’s really cool that they give us the opportunity to go out because in England all the clubs are for over 18’s. I was afraid that this party was going to be boring but I must say that it was awesome. It was exactly my music style; Pop, Hip-hop and reggaeton. And it was even better than some parties in Switzerland. I was and I still am really impressed, these parties are every Wednesday and Thursday so I’m sure that we will go again.

On Thursday we went to the beach again but this time with other friends from the grammar school in Wattwil. The beach was even better this time. We sunbathed a lot, but we also went in the water. The waves were pretty big, but it was a lot of fun jumping over them. We ate out in the evening in the Wagamama which is a Japanese restaurant. The food was fabulous but for my taste a little bit too spicy.
Friday afternoon we went to the beach again but only Livia, Laura and I. We had lunch in a restaurant called the real Greek. We all ordered a wrap and it was delicious. That evening we went to the pier and on a ferris wheel. The view was stunning and we could take some beautiful pictures. It was already the last day of school and I couldn’t believe that time went past so fast.
Yesterday we went on an Excursion with BEET. We took the train to Poole and from there a boat to Brownsea island. The island was amazing we many animals like a deer, red squirrels, chickens and peacocks. We took the boat back to Poole, where there was a folk festival. The people danced and it was great, later we went to some shops and at about 5:00 pm we took a train back to Bournemouth. It was an amazing day even though I got sunburnt. In the evening Laura came over to sleep at my place because her host family was in London.
Today we didn’t do much. It was the first day we could sleep in. We watched movies the whole day and we were really lazy. But we both needed a day to relax because gaining so many new experiences is quite an exhausting task after all. Tomorrow we’ll have a new timetable called a zig-zag timetable. There are many new students coming and because the school is pretty small the need to make a zig-zag timetable, so they only have half of the students at once. Zig-zag basically means that we’ll have morning classes at one day and the next day we’ll have afternoon classes and that goes on for the following three weeks. I think the afternoon classes will be more exhausting than the morning classes however it will be fine because we have some days where we can sleep in.

Hi Elisa, thanks for your detailed report from your stay in Bournemouth and the impressive Fotos. The waves are quite big at that beech! Have a good time and god bless you! Grandpa
